Compare Natural Vitamin C VS Ascorbic Acid

ANALOGY: Taking 100% natural vitamin C is like eating the inside of the orange with all its nutrients. Taking synthetic ascorbic acid is like eating only the acidic peel of the orange without any of the nutrients of the orange.

This is one example of how nature creates natural vitamin C. Vitamin C is not created in a laboratory, and our bodies reject synthetic ascorbic acid as a toxin.

This is how synthetic ascorbic acid is made:

1.    Genetically modified corn (GMO) is processed into simple corn syrup.
2.    Hydrolysis – the simple corn syrup (D-Glucose) is broken down by heat and enzymes.
3.    Fermentation – D-Sorbitol is converted to L-Sorbose
4.    Acetonation – acetone (that’s the same acid as used in nail polish remover) is combined with L-Sorbose
5.    Hydrogenation – the D-Glucose is converted to D-Sorbitol
6.    Oxidation – the product is oxidized with a catalyst, acidified again, washed and dried to from L-Gluconic acid.
7.    Hydrolysis – L-Gluconic acid is treated with hydrochloric acid and is processed to form a crude ascorbic acid.
8.    Recrystallization –final step, the crude ascorbic acid is filtered and milled to a fine crystalline powder and sold to vitamin companies who market it as vitamin C.

Note: It may be a surprise to learn that almost all vitamin C supplements on the market are ascorbic acid. But even more disturbing is that the FDA allows synthetic ascorbic acid to be labeled as vitamin C.

NUTRIVI 100% Natural Vitamin C is made only from:

Wild Rose Hips
Acerola Cherries Wild Rose HIps
Bamboo Shoots
Bitter Orange Bamboo Shoots

NUTRIVI Vitamin C+ contains all-natural extracts from Wild Rose Hips (Rosa Canina), Acerola Cherries - plants distinguished by a high content of vitamin C, and include beneficial accompanying substances: Bitter Orange extract, a source of Hesperidin and citrus bioflavonoids, and Bamboo Shoot extract, a source of Silicon. Hesperidin is a bioflavonoid that is an anti-oxidant, supports the immune system and improves circulation. Silicon is a trace mineral that improves flexibility in joints, provides stronger bones, provides elasticity to skin and strengthens hair.

Acerola Cherries are one of the richest sources of vitamin C found in fruit. They are mostly known for their rich source of natural vitamin C, but also contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 as well as carotenoids and bioflavonoids. The berry contains about double the magnesium, potassium and vitamin B5 as an orange, and has high levels of vitamin A.
Wild Rose Hips are a very rich source of natural vitamin C, contain flavonoids and folic acid, and have antioxidant properties. They also contain vitamins A, B1, B2, E, and K and Folic Acid.

The all-natural vitamin C that is extracted from these fruits contains a bioflavonoid complex that does not acidify the body, as is the case of synthetic ascorbic acid.
